Tears of joy-

Happiness after pain-

With smiles around-

Finally the wait ends-

Alas! an Ugly duckling is born!

"Let others' judge you-

By the beauty of your heart.

Let all embrace you-

For your actions.

Never ever be discouraged."

The ugly duckling learns

The duck comforts her son-

The swan guards him from adversity-

Together they cuddle.

The swarm mocks at him-

Lonely indeed it is!

The ugly duckling grows.

Beliefs proven wrong-

Judged by appearance-

Distinguished on color-

Hurt by the flock-

Expressions gradually disappear.

The ugly duckling stumbles.

Flickering faith in his learning-

Trust in people-

Ignoring all jeers-

Accepting bitter facts-

Laughing at own misfortune-

The ugly duckling matures.

Pained at heart-

Smile on face-

Fear of  rejection-

Concealing opinions-

Dodging the ridicule-

The ugly duckling survives.

Sharing was his strength.

Silence became his asset.

Solitude became his friend.

Ignorance was his aid.

Reality differed from the story-

The Swan  always remained Ugly!

My traits.

My flaws.

I adore-

I fail-

My loss-

We meet-

Farewell beloved.

 TURMOIL

Inevitable end-

A battle of mismatches,

Destined defeat,

Agony of losses,

Agony of the agony to cease.

Quintessentially mystified-

Tangled thoughts,

Choking voices,

Wait for the knot to dissolve,

Wait for the wait to be over.

Solemnly resolute-

Embrace the expected,

Never turn back,

Choice was made,

Choice of choices then evaporate.

Misleading hope-

A glimmer of optimism,

Tests your resolve,

Rule your own destiny,

Rule it with rules you set.
 

Harmony finally-

Search for peace,

In others' happiness,

You might be loved,

Loved for loving all.

  HIDE & SEEK

Beyond the closed door -

lies the vast blue sky.

Beyond the shut window-

is the green pastures.

Beyond the stretching roads-

there is a perfect abode.

In the night sky-

blinking phosphorescent stars.

In the dark alley-

fluctuating neon lights.

In the time of misery-

ought to be a bright smile.

Hidden by the wrap-

an invaluable gift.

Hidden by the cocoon-

the beautiful butterfly.

Hidden by silence-

so many precious words.

A numb sole-

so misunderstood.

A lost thought

pleading to be heard.

A wretched soul

  there is life beyond.

Whisper in the dark-

From the chasing shadows-

To be woken by the nightingale,

And the mist of a kiss of the mermaid.

Swept away by nostalgia.

In the mirror-

I see the chameleon days.
