MY FIRST PUBLISHED POEM

THE CLASSIFICATION OF MAN
Look at the end of the lane,
But with nobody for him to care,
And nobody with whom he can share.
Because he is a mere beggar-
A help to whom is rare.
Whereas when the boy in the big flat-
Rich plump and fat-
Got a minor cut on his ankle,
Out came father mother and uncle,
The father cried! the mother cried!
Until the tears of their eyes dried.
At last to find it be a prank-
Played by their dearest son Frank.
Why is their none to care for the beggar?
And more than enough for the richer?
Why is their such a distinction?
Who made this inhuman classification?
Because all are same and equal-
In front of the eyes of the one and all-
"THE ALL MIGHTY GOD".
